Graffiti has been a way of communication since ancient times also a way of expressing what people feel at one given time. It can warn or inform people of something and ranges from simple written words (tags) to elaborate wall paintings.

24 bricks were coated on one side with beeswax and inscribed with words and phrases from various tags that caught my eye on the streets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Switzerland. The words and phrases were reproduced on wax through the use of carbon copy paper sheets and my handwriting.

Nowadays, physical carbon copies have been replaced by photocopiers and printers, but the acronym CC for Carbon Copy still exists in our digital world and is used when sending emails. The Carbon Copy Series wants to draw attention to different expressions of people coming from several cities — people the artist met only through the words they left. At the same time the artwork investigates who were the recipients of the original messages and who are the recipients of these CC.
