Vladimir Miljević’s practice explores themes of historical memory and collective identity through installations, sculptures and performances. Often sparsely but precisely arranged fragments that already contain memories and meaning but gain new ones by being placed in a present context.

The experience of living in and between two cultures represents a central part of Miljević’s family history. He uses this circumstance as an entry point to address broader topics such as shifting political systems, migration and the relationship between generations. Issues that are relevant to all identities, influence each other and transcend territorial boundaries.

Vladimir Miljević lives and works in Berlin, DE and Zurich, CH
